SEARCHING
I have searched my whole life through,
I have tried to fill this space,
but with everything I tried,
it made this hole down deep inside,
deeper than it was before.
I had tried every open door,
searching for some peace to fill my life.
but it just kept getting more lonely down inside.
Now what am I supposed to do,
how can I find some worth in my life,
something to give me joy and peace of mind.
I have tried everything to bring
some happiness to this life I'm in.
Where am I to go now?
Tell me what am I supposed to do?
I would give anything,
I would do anything.
So I kept walking down lifes road,
with such a heavy load upon my back.
Still seeking for a purpose to go on,
didnt think I could go on for too much more.
As I gazed into the night,
I caught a glimpse of a light.
Shining bright in the darkest night,
as I drew closer there I saw
what I have been looking for.
There standing in the light was
man dressed in white ,
He was calling out my name,
He said child be not afraid,
then I asked Him who He was,
and these words He spoke to me.
I am Jesus, the Son of God,
I am the One you are looking for,
I gave my life for all mankind,
then I arose to bring new life.
I am the One who loves You so,
and I want to let you know,
I would do it all just for you.
So I got down on my knees,
and asked Jesus into my heart,
now I have found more than I ever dreamed,
I have new purpose and new life,
HE has filled that empty space,
He has filled my life with peace.
No longer bound by sin and strife.
Jesus He came and brought me a new life.
As I lift my heart in praise,
I want to give thanks for all He's gave,
Jesus I love You with all my heart,
and thank You for giving me a brand new life.
